Foshan University of Science and Technology is a full-time public undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education. It is a high-level university of science and technology in Guangdong Province with a history of more than 60 years and the right to award master's degrees. The College is located in Foshan, a national historical and cultural city, a national advanced manufacturing base and an important node city in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The college originated from Foshan Teachers College and Foshan Branch of South China Agricultural College founded by 1958, and later Foshan Teachers College was renamed Foshan Teachers College. 1February, 986, Foshan University was founded on the basis of Foshan Teachers College, and Foshan Branch of South China Agricultural College was renamed Foshan Veterinary College and Foshan Agriculture and Animal Husbandry College. 1In March 1995, Foshan University and Foshan College of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry merged to form Foshan College of Science and Technology, which was upgraded to an undergraduate course. In February, 2005, Foshan Staff Medical College and Foshan Education College merged into Foshan College of Science and Technology. The College attaches great importance to international education and strengthens diversified and multilateral academic exchanges and joint training of talents. The College has established long-term and stable cooperative partnership with nearly 90 universities and scientific research institutions in 36 countries and regions, and more than 40% of the faculty members have studied or engaged in scientific research in overseas cooperative institutions. Guangdong-Taiwan Institute of Artificial Intelligence, a second-level college with non-independent legal person, was jointly organized by the Institute and Dongguan Taiwan Compatriots' Baby Care Foundation. The undergraduate program of "Environmental Engineering" in Trier Universities of Applied Sciences, Germany, which was approved by the Ministry of Education, and the joint training program of "Product Design" between Foshan Institute of Science and Technology and Essen Institute of Plastic Arts, Germany, which was registered by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education, were established.
