Jilin City Institute of Architecture (formerly Jilin Institute of Architecture and Engineering) is located in "Changchun Equipment Manufacturing Industry Development Zone" in Kuancheng District, Changchun City, the capital of Jilin Province. It was established in June 2000 and was first recognized as an independent college by the Ministry of Education in 2004. In 2008, it was approved by Jilin Academic Degrees Committee as a bachelor's degree awarding unit. Unified enrollment within the national plan is an institution of higher learning that trains advanced applied talents for urban (town) planning, urban (town) architecture and infrastructure construction, urban (town) environmental protection construction, architecture and home decoration industry, urban (town) management, urban (town) cultural field and modern service industry. The ideological and political education of college students won the Innovation Award of Student Work of the Provincial Department of Education, and achieved excellent results in the evaluation of ideological and political education of college students in Jilin Province. College students' social practice activities have been rated as provincial excellent organizational units for four consecutive years. The second and third national college students' art exhibitions won the excellent organization award of the Ministry of Education.
