Ohio State University (OSU) was founded in 1870, located in Columbus, Ohio, USA. It is a world-famous research university, one of the earliest members of AAU (1916) and one of the top ten alliance members. It is one of the top public universities in the United States, and is called the public Ivy League. The main campus of this university is located at 65㎞2, which is one of the largest campuses in the United States. The majors offered cover almost all academic fields, especially sociology, politics, economics, physics, astronomy, journalism and communication. Its business school is one of the founding members of 19 16 AACSB; Medical college ranks in the top 30 in the United States, and American News ranks it as the 16 th public university in the United States.

The mascot of the university is called "brutus", which is a cartoon image like acorn.

The sports teams that universities and other universities participate in the competition are called "Aesculus", which means "Aesculus".

The military band of the university is one of its traditions and the largest brass band in the world.
