According to official website of SunYat-senUniversity, Sun Yat-sen University (CUHK for short) is a modern comprehensive university located in Guangdong Province, China, which belongs to the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) and is jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Guangdong Province. In 2005 and 2006, it was selected as the national "2 1 1 Project" and "985 Project" respectively. The history department of Sun Yat-sen University is in Shenzhen campus.
