Yulin Teachers College is located in the hometown of famous linguist Wang Li, an excellent tourist city in China and a thousand-year-old city in southeast Guangxi, covering an area of 1.746 mu. It is a full-time undergraduate college directly under Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The school was founded in 1945, formerly known as Guangxi Yinglin Normal School, renamed as Yulin Normal School in the spring of 1952, and upgraded to Guangxi Yulin Normal College in 1958, and began to recruit junior college students at higher education level.
1962 was renamed Yulin Normal School. 1978 Yulin Teachers College was restored with the approval of the State Council. 1994 was renamed Yulin Normal University. In 2000, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Yulin Teachers College, Yulin Education College, Yulin Higher Vocational and Technical College and Guangxi Radio and TV University Yulin Branch merged and were upgraded to Yulin Teachers College.
