In 2004, the Faculty of Science was newly established. On 20 12, the original three professional colleges were renamed as Aerospace Engineering, Air Defense and Anti-missile, Information and Navigation College respectively, and two colleges of air traffic control and navigation, equipment management and safety engineering were established.
The main campus of Air Force Engineering University is located in Baqiao District, Xi City, with five campuses and training bases: Sanyuan, Changle, Lvyuan and Taoyuan.
