Contemporary college English listening consists of two parts: classroom listening (intensive listening) and autonomous listening (extensive listening). It gives consideration to both quality and quantity, and "both refined and extensive" conforms to the natural law of English learning. The selected articles are rich in content and wide in subject matter, integrating functionality, knowledge, thought and interest. The grading design is reasonable, the theme genre is from easy to difficult, and the speech speed is from slow to fast. The recording consists of original sound materials and language materials recorded by foreign experts, so that students can learn standard and authentic English and get in touch with various oral forms in real life.
