Introduction of Hunan University:
Hunan University, referred to as "Huda", is located in Changsha City, Hunan Province. It is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), and ranks among the national "double first-class", "985 Project" and "21/project". It is the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Hunan Provincial People's Government, and the National Defense Science and Technology.
The "Everest Plan", "20 1 1 plan", "1plan", the education and training plan for outstanding engineers, the education and training plan for outstanding legal talents, the national postgraduate plan for building high-level universities and the national research and practice project for new engineering projects are model universities in deepening the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education in China.
The National Intellectual Property Demonstration University, the National College Students' Cultural Quality Education Base, and the China Municipal Government's scholarship receiving institution for overseas students in China are members of the BRICS University Alliance and the "Yangtze-Volga River" University Alliance.
Hunan University originated from Yuelu Academy, which was founded in 976 AD, and was transformed into Hunan College in 1903. 1926 was named the provincial Hunan university, and 1937 became the 15 national university of the national government. In 1950, Mao Zedong wrote down the name of the school.
1953 was renamed as central south institute of architecture and engineering in the adjustment of national departments, and 1959 restored the name of Hunan university. In 2000, it merged with Hunan University of Finance and Economics to form a new Hunan University.
As of March 2023, the school campus covers an area of 24 1 000 square meters, with a building area of 654,338+0.34 million square meters and a collection of 7.634 million books. 27 colleges and 78 undergraduate majors; There are 28 post-doctoral research stations, 30 first-class doctoral programs, 37 first-class master programs and 26 professional degree authorization categories.
