Generally speaking, colleges and universities in China are allowed to change majors in any of the following circumstances:
(1) Students do have expertise, and I apply for the exam, which is recommended by my major, and confirmed by the examination of transferring to this major, and I can give full play to my expertise when transferring to this major;
(2) Suffering from a certain disease or physical defect and unable to study in the original major, but still able to study in other majors, which is certified by the medical unit designated by the school;
(3) The school thinks that there are some special difficulties and it is impossible to continue studying without changing majors. However, freshmen who have been enrolled for less than one semester, those who are in the third year of undergraduate course or above, or those who are in the second year of junior college or above, will all be transferred to public funds, and those who are not allowed to change their majors without justifiable reasons. Generally, it should be reported to the academic affairs office of the school for approval or filing.
The school has three campuses: Chengxi Campus, Chengbei Campus and Chengdu Campus. The main departments are: School of Life and Geographical Sciences, School of Computer Science and Teachers College for Nationalities.
The school is located in Xining, the capital of Qinghai Province, and was built in 1956.
