The School of Foreign Languages of Qufu Normal University has a long history, and its predecessor was the Russian College founded by 1960. English major was founded in 1962, which was then called Foreign Languages Department. In 2002, it was renamed Foreign Languages Institute. The college now has English Department, Russian Department, French Department and Foreign Languages College. There are three undergraduate majors in English, Russian and French (non-normal), of which English is a provincial major and a school-level brand major. At present, the college has three master's degree authorization points in foreign linguistics and applied linguistics, English language and literature, curriculum and teaching theory (English teaching theory), and two professional master's degree authorization points in translation (MTI) and education (subject teaching: English). At the same time, it has the right for university teachers to apply for master's degree authorization on the job.
