Since the establishment of the College, according to the development of the music industry and the change of the social demand for talents, the training scheme, teaching syllabus and course introduction have been revised successively, the arrangement of practical teaching courses has been adjusted, and the teaching content of training applied talents has been increased, which has laid a foundation for students to go to society. The college adheres to the principle of interaction between teaching and scientific research, paying equal attention to scale and quality. In recent years, teachers have published many books and textbooks, undertaken more than 10 provincial and national scientific research projects, and published more than 40 academic papers. In 2005, Hao, a graduate of Jilin University of the Arts, obtained a master's degree in composition theory with excellent results, achieving a breakthrough of zero graduate education.

The college follows the teaching characteristics and laws of music performance specialty, and actively organizes teachers and students to participate in various artistic practice performance activities. In the past three years, teachers in our college have been awarded 25 times by instructors in provincial and national art performance competitions, and students have been awarded 16 times in provincial, municipal and national art performance competitions. And successively signed agreements with professional performance groups and schools such as FAW No.3 Middle School, Chang Ying Orchestra, Provincial Song Orchestra, Xing Jun Art School and Guangming Art School.
