1952, 18 years old, went to study in the central Nigerian city of ibadan. During my study in ibadan University, I published some passionate poems in the influential Black orpheus magazine, and started my literary career. 1954 won a scholarship to study English language and literature at the University of Leeds in England, and asked the famous literary critic G·W· Knight for advice at that time. At that time, students in Leeds University had a variety of drama activities, often performing famous European classical dramas and modern dramas, and sometimes performing some self-directed works. Such a strong drama atmosphere and his early interest in drama had a communication and buzz, which made him the first to step into the elegant hall of drama art when he first entered the field of literary research. So he devoted himself to studying books of various western drama schools and works of various western literary trends. Therefore, after graduating from Leeds University with honors on 1957, he soon entered the Royal Palace Theatre in London and began his drama practice. Proofreading, script editing and screenwriter.
In 1950s and 1960s, London Palace Theatre was the center of British drama activities, and many leading dramatists started from here, such as john osborne, Arnold Veske and samuel beckett (1906 ~ 1989). The work of the Royal Theatre gave him the opportunity to get in touch with modern dramas in Britain, America and European countries extensively, improved his drama literacy, broadened his vision of drama art, and was able to observe the choreography process and stage art design of many famous plays, which gave him the opportunity to directly participate in the specific performance and choreography practice.
