The school is one of the 22 medical colleges established earlier in China, one of the first eight medical colleges in China to recruit foreign students, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan students and overseas Chinese students, one of the first 30 colleges approved by the Ministry of Education with the qualification to recruit international students majoring in clinical medicine (teaching in English), and one of the three key universities under construction by the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
It is the center of medical education, medical research, clinical treatment and preventive health care in Guangxi. The school now has four campuses: Nanning-Headquarters, Nanning-Wuming Campus, Yulin Campus and International Medical Education Exchange and Research Center (Wuxiang Campus, under construction), of which Nanning-Headquarters has a total land area of 57 1.2 mu and is located at No.22 Shuangyong Road, Qingxiu District, Nanning City.
Nanning-Wuming Campus has a total land area of 65,438+0,433 mu and is located at No.336 Wuming Section of Wuhua Avenue, Wuming District, Nanning. Yulin Campus, with a total planned land area of 938 mu, is located in the high-tech industrial park of Yudong New District, Yulin City. The planned total land area of the International Center for Medical Education Exchange and Research (Wuxiang Campus) is about 35 1.84 mu.
