Jiangxi Vocational College of Applied Engineering is affiliated to Jiangxi State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission. The college is located in Pingxiang, Jiangxi Province, the birthplace of the workers' movement and the autumn harvest uprising, with a history of nearly a hundred years.

Formerly known as Anyuan Road and Mine Staff Tutorial School, the College was founded in June 1922. In 2003, Jiangxi Vocational College of Applied Engineering was established with the approval of the provincial people's government.
