Brief introduction of Xi Anyou University

Southwest Petroleum University (SWPU), whose main campus is located in Xi City, Shaanxi Province, is jointly established by the Ministry of Education, Shaanxi Province and China Petroleum and Natural Gas Group Corporation, and sinopec group and China Offshore Oil Group Co., Ltd.; It is a national "double-first-class" construction university, and was selected as a basic capacity building project for universities in the central and western regions.

National "11/plan" and national "characteristic key discipline project" to build universities, national high-level universities to build public graduate programs, national innovative talents training demonstration base, national university practical education innovation and entrepreneurship base, China government scholarship for overseas students, Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-City Economic Circle University Alliance, and the first batch of China-Russia "Yangtze River-Volga" demonstration to deepen innovation and entrepreneurship education reform.

1958 Xi Youshi University was established in Xi, Shaanxi Province, and was affiliated to the former Ministry of Petroleum Industry. 1970, renamed Xi Anyou University; In 2000, the universities affiliated to China Petroleum and Natural Gas Group Company were transferred to ordinary universities established by the central and local governments and mainly managed by the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government.

In 2002, the main body of the school moved to Xindu District, Chengdu; In 2004, Shaanxi University of Political Science and Law merged; In 2005, the school was renamed Xi Youshi University.
