Yantai University, referred to as Yanda University, is a key comprehensive university in Shandong Province. Located in Laishan, Yantai, it was established in July 1984. Under the care and guidance of Wan Li, former vice president, and Zhang Chengxian, honorary president, and with the special approval of the former State Education Commission, Peking University and Tsinghua University jointly selected teaching, scientific research and management backbones to build the project, and included their support for Tobacco University in the long-term work plan. 1990 "Peking University" and "Tsinghua Committee for Supporting the Construction of Yantai University" were established to regularly study and guide the teaching, scientific research, discipline construction and reform and development of Yantai University, which enabled Yantai University to have a higher starting point and high-level development.

At present, Yantai University has enrolled 85 students in eight school-enterprise cooperation majors: business administration (logistics direction), international economy and trade (finance direction), accounting (finance direction), Internet of Things engineering (school-enterprise cooperation), communication engineering (mobile communication technology direction), engineering (service direction), computer science and technology (embedded direction) and vehicle engineering (automobile business direction). The admission batches are listed in the second batch of undergraduate courses, and these eight majors (directions) are all for enrollment in Shandong Province.
