What's it like to go to college?
A year ago in the summer, there was cicada singing outside, and I was at home imagining what college life would be like. A year has passed in a blink of an eye, and the cicada singing outside is still heard, as if it were the same as a year ago, as if I were still the immature high school graduate. But I know I am not. One year's college life has made me mature and have a deeper understanding of many things.

In high school, teachers often told us about Tsinghua, Peking University, or Zhejiang University and Nanda University. Posters of these schools are also posted on the walls of the stairwell in the corridor. Therefore, my imaginary university should be like this: walking quietly on the boulevard, meeting gentle professors, colliding with elegant youth, as if isolated from the world; In the antique library, the quiet and bright handwriting is full of dust blown by the wind; The quiet lake shines through the corner of my eye, the beautiful female college students pass by in white, and the memories and fantasies of love are like the smell of flooding; Iris petals are full of slate, who is reading poetry and who is fiddling with guitar strings ... it should be such a picturesque life, which is very desirable. Although I occasionally hear people say that there are so many universities, I think people who say this must be sour grapes or studying in poor schools. In this way, with a beautiful vision for the university, I walked into the college entrance examination room and finally got the admission notice from hunan university of arts and science. Although it is not in the top ten universities, it is also a relatively good university, so I am still very excited. After all, there are not many key universities in our country. University, a place that fascinates us; University, a place that symbolizes our adulthood, we like the name and everything about it.

In this way, with the admission notice, I embarked on the road to study. As this was my first time out of town, I followed my father all the way. On the train, I want to know what the school will be like. I fell asleep thinking about it until my father woke me up and let me get off with my luggage. It's already three o'clock in the afternoon after leaving the railway station. It's cloudy. It looks like rain. I looked around, so this is Changde. As the next day was the official check-in time, my father and I stayed at the hotel outside for one night. In the evening, my father told me to study hard at school, learn to be a man and so on. The thought of entering a new environment, that my father will go home tomorrow, and that I am alone in a strange environment is very uncomfortable. I just nodded, agreed with him, kept silent, and then went to bed early.

The next day is the day of official registration, and the weather is also very good. When I entered the registration office, I saw many seniors and sisters with signs hanging on their chests. I think they should be members of the student union. I really envy their warm smiles and confident performance. Under their guidance, I successfully completed the admission procedures and moved into the dormitory. After arranging everything, my father will go home by bus. I once again realized the strong feeling that my father arranged everything for me when I entered high school, but I was reluctant to let my father go. At that time, I deliberately found something to delay my father, but not this time. Although this is a brand-new environment, I will go home in half a year. I know I am an adult. These will be faced sooner or later. After seeing my father off and sitting on the bed, I knew that my college life had begun. ...

Freshman is the best. The first is military training. At that time, there were too many feelings in my heart, old friends were far away, and new friends were still budding. When a person needs someone to share his feelings, his loneliness will be exaggerated, so he longs for friendship. Students from all corners of the country gradually get to know each other through it, help each other in training, and gradually establish new friendships. Everyone began to show themselves and highlight their various abilities. I was very introverted since I was a child, so I was inconspicuous in military training. I know I will gradually change myself, make myself more confident and have all the abilities and qualities I should have. So I signed up for some associations, hoping to improve my overall quality. When I was filling in my major, I felt ashamed that I was not particularly good at it. I sometimes envy the children in those cities, learning various musical instruments or participating in various trainings since childhood, and then knowing a lot. But I know, have faith in yourself.

For most people, freshman still continues some habits of high school. Me too. Attend classes on time every day, study in the evening, ask teachers and classmates questions, discuss with each other and so on. The biggest difference between college and high school is that high school is supervised by teachers, but college is not. Although some teachers are strict, they will never urge us all day like high school teachers. College classes are very casual. For example, students can go in and out of the classroom at will without saying hello to the teacher. They can sleep or read other books if they don't want to listen in class, as long as they don't disturb others. As for the exam, everyone is still very serious. Even the students who are not serious in class at ordinary times have carefully reviewed it when the exam comes. Basically, no one cheats, because everyone thinks that invigilators will be severely punished if they catch cheating like high school teachers.

As for professional knowledge, it is very difficult to learn Java because I have little contact with computers before, so I can say that I have no foundation. Later, I gradually found that I can still learn well. Some students in my class learn very well, so I should learn more from them. In this way, through hard work, I won the "three good students in the hospital." In short, I feel that freshmen are still relatively simple and sometimes confused. Although there are some bad phenomena in my freshman year, I believe I will get better and better in the future, so I entered my sophomore year.

I also participated in some club activities, which gave me some experience, such as volunteering to sell newspapers. On such a cold day, we sell newspapers everywhere at the gate of China Normal University. Only then did I know that it was not easy for parents to make money. At the same time, I found that if I don't work hard, I won't want to live a happy life in the future. When I was a child, I didn't eat bitter. I also learned a lot in the process of dealing with my classmates and teachers. For example, some manners, such as how to make questionnaires, are learned through community activities.
