English requirements for studying in Japan
The English scores recognized in Japan mainly include TOEFL, TOEFL, IELTS and other (in-school exams). Of course, it doesn't mean that you can't apply for graduate students in Japan without English grades, but good English grades will definitely make you even more powerful and easier to apply for a good institution.

Most Japanese public universities require students to score 70-80 in TOEFL, while public universities and top private universities in key countries generally require students to score 80 or above in TOEFL, such as Tokyo University, Kyoto University, hitotsubashi university and other famous schools. Due to fierce competition, TOEFL scores sometimes even need to reach more than 90 points. Even the public universities in China require students to get a TOEFL score of 70 or above.

In addition, the requirements of Japanese universities for IELTS scores have also changed. Some top universities require students to score at least 7.0 in IELTS, including 7.0 in spoken English and 6.5 in listening, reading and writing.

Application conditions:

1. age: the applicant must be between 18-30 years old;

2. Education: Applicants must have a high school education or above and have the corresponding English ability;

3. Language: Applicants need to pass the Japanese Proficiency Test (JLPT) and reach N2 or above;

4. Funding: Applicants need to provide proof of funding to ensure that they can pay tuition and living expenses during their stay in Japan.
