About Southwest Jiaotong University
1, Southwest Jiaotong University (hereinafter referred to as "Southwest Jiaotong University"), located in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), and is jointly established by the Ministry of Education, China Railway Corporation, Sichuan Province and Chengdu. 2. The school was founded in 1896 Shanhaiguan Beiyang Railway Official School. Since then, it has been moved and renamed many times. Tangshan Jiaotong University enjoys a good reputation at home and abroad, and is known as the "Cornell of the East", especially in civil engineering, mining and metallurgy.
