Brief introduction of Jinan University College of Liberal Arts

The College of Literature of Jinan University was founded in 1929, and it is one of the earliest colleges in Jinan University. There are five department-level teaching and research offices in China, namely, the Department of Language and Literature, the Department of History, the Institute of Ancient Books, the Institute of Sino-foreign Relations and the Institute of Philosophy. As of March 2020, the college has three undergraduate majors and three Post-Doctoral Research Center.

Two disciplines have three first-class doctoral programs and 16 doctoral programs, two disciplines have three first-class master programs and 16 master programs, and two disciplines have master programs in aesthetics and two professional master programs. China Language and Literature Department was established in June 1927. It is one of the earliest independent departments established after Jinan School was upgraded to national Jinan University. Originally called Chinese Department, the first batch of students entered the school in September of the same year.
