Degree notarization refers to the activities of notarization institutions to prove the authenticity and legality of the degree obtained by the parties according to their applications. Degree notarization includes: proving bachelor's degree, master's degree and doctor's degree.
To apply for notarization of academic degree, the parties concerned shall apply to the notary office where the household registration is located or where the school is located, and submit to the notary office the identity certificates such as resident identity card or household registration book, as well as the original and photocopy of graduation certificate or absenteeism certificate, the original and photocopy of degree certificate, and several recent two-inch photos. According to the requirements of the country where the notarial certificate is used, the notary office can issue a notarial certificate of academic degree through indirect proof. That is, notarization proves that the original and photocopy of the graduation certificate or suspension certificate or degree certificate of the parties concerned are consistent, and the school seal, the signature of the principal and the signature of Chairman academic degree evaluation committee on the graduation certificate or suspension certificate or degree certificate are true. Notary institutions can also issue certificates of academic qualifications and degrees by means of direct certification. A recent two-inch half-length bareheaded photo of the client should be posted on the diploma directly certified.
