The School of Humanities of Chongqing Jiaotong University was established in September 2003. Over the years, the college has seized the opportunity, kept pace with the times, and earnestly performed the basic functions of personnel training, scientific research, social service and cultural inheritance and innovation. Now it has developed into a teaching-oriented college with its own characteristics, focusing on undergraduate education and steadily developing postgraduate education and international student education. There are 68 teachers in the college, including 3 professors, 8 associate professors and 4 lecturers/kloc-0. There are 44 teachers with master's degree or above. There are four undergraduate departments of radio and television journalism, tourism management, art design and advertising, as well as the teaching and research section of Chinese language and literature, the experimental teaching center of humanities and arts and the Chinese training center of Chongqing Jiaotong University. There are more than 0/000 full-time undergraduates and 70 graduate students.

The college insists on educating people as the center, and always aims at cultivating compound talents with good moral character, strong foundation, wide specialty, high quality and strong ability, expanding specialty and carrying out teaching reform in an all-round way, forming a distinctive liberal arts teaching, and the teaching quality has been obviously improved. The college has more than 20 teaching, scientific research and practice bases and Industry-University-Research bases, and the students' practice and training achievements are obvious, which are well received by students, experts and society. The College has established friendly and cooperative relations with foreign universities and scientific research institutions such as Northumbria University, glamorgan University, and University of California, Riverside, and provided students with "double degrees", short-term overseas visits and other ways to study abroad.

After ten years of construction and development, the college has formed distinctive school-running characteristics in radio and television journalism, tourism management, art design, advertising and other majors. Students won more than 60 first, second and third prizes in the 5th Asia-Pacific City Mayor Summit, National College Students' Advertising Art Competition, Chongqing China Western Industrial Design Tomorrow Star Competition, Chongqing University Campus Spring Advertising Design Competition and Chongqing Public Service Advertising Competition. Graduates become the technical and management backbones of government agencies and large enterprises and institutions such as transportation, tourism, finance, education, business services and news media.

In recent years, the College has undertaken more than 20 humanities and social science projects above the provincial level, and successively won the second prize of national teaching achievement 1, the second prize of provincial and ministerial level philosophy and social science 1, the third prize 1, 6 first, second and third prizes of teaching achievement above the provincial level, and published more than 600 papers in public publications such as core journals.
