Jiangxi Normal University is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government, and it is a basic capacity building project for universities in the central and western regions. The school integrates literature, history, philosophy, classics, management, law, science, engineering, teaching and art.
Nanchang, the capital of Jiangxi province, which has a profound historical and cultural heritage and is known as "outstanding people and outstanding people", has a great influence on Jiangxi's political, economic, cultural and social development, and has been identified as a provincial key (normal) university with key development by the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government.
The school originated from Lushan Bailudong Academy, 1940 was founded as National Chung Cheng University, 1949 was renamed Nanchang University, 1953 was renamed Jiangxi Normal University, and 1983 was renamed Jiangxi Normal University. It is the oldest undergraduate institution of higher learning in Jiangxi Province. In 2003, Jiangxi Financial Workers College (Jiangxi Bank School) was incorporated.
Computer major:
Computer major refers to a wide-caliber major that combines computer software and hardware, and is system-oriented and more application-oriented. Through basic teaching and professional training, we will cultivate senior talents with solid basic knowledge, wide knowledge, strong engineering practice ability, pioneering and innovative consciousness, and engaged in scientific research, education, development and application in the field of computer science and technology.
The characteristics of computer science are mainly embodied in: strong theory, strong practice and rapid development. Cultivating broad-caliber talents with solid foundation according to first-class disciplines is reflected in attaching importance to the theoretical and professional technical basis of mathematics, logic, data structure, algorithm, electronic design, computer architecture and system software.
In the first two and a half years, we paid attention to the basic courses and professional courses of natural science, which broadened our orientation. The last year and a half is mainly about the setting of professional courses, which has increased selectivity, diversity, flexibility and directionality, highlighted the characteristics of subject direction and reflected the latest technological development trend.
