The undergraduate education system is generally four years, which is determined by the amount of skills students need to master and the length of time required to learn knowledge. For undergraduates, they study basic courses in the first year, such as college English and advanced mathematics. In the second year, I will study professional basic courses, and in the third year, I will study professional courses of this major. By the end of junior year, students have basically mastered the courses that need to be studied in the university, and in the last year, they began to practice, find a job and prepare for employment.
As many people know, many majors in universities are not full of classes every day. Occasionally, there are only one or two classes a day, and the rest of the time is freely distributed. The study task is not heavy, and only three years are in class after four years. If the course is arranged more compactly, maybe all the tasks can be completed in three years. But the university is not a junior high school, so it is necessary to cultivate students' ability beyond learning, practical ability, innovation and creativity, and so on. Therefore, they give students a lot of free development space. After studying, students can take part in competitions, learn to start businesses and so on.
Students also have a certain degree of freedom in university development. During the four years of college life, some students worked hard to exercise themselves and improve themselves, while others just felt too free and spent four years aimlessly. If the university system is extended to five years, all tasks are more likely to cause students' rambling psychology, and it is not easy for students to develop. Some medical majors have a five-year academic system, because medical majors need to learn a lot. Even with a five-year academic system, medical students' college life is very hard.
The academic system of a university, whether it is three years, four years or five years, has a scientific basis, and I am also talking about my personal thoughts.
