1September, 1988, admitted to the Department of Mechanics of Dalian University of Technology, and obtained bachelor's, master's and doctor's degrees. 1998 10 was sent by the State Education Commission (funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan) to department of mechanical engineering of Kanazawa University in Japan for postdoctoral research. Returned to China in September 2000. In April of 20001year, he was named as an associate professor of mechanics department of Dalian University of Technology. From July, 2004 to June, 2005, I was engaged in the research of nano-bionic mechanics in the Institute of Metals of Max Planck Institute in Germany. In April 2005, he was awarded as a doctoral supervisor of engineering mechanics. In June of the same year, he was promoted to professor. He is currently the head of the Department of Engineering Mechanics at Dalian University of Technology. Mainly engaged in the exploratory research on structural optimization of multidisciplinary coupling system, nano-mechanics and bionic structure optimization. More than 30 SCI papers have been published and cited by others 100 times. He is a member of the International Society for Computational Mechanics and a special commentator of the magazine Structure and Multidisciplinary Optimization of the International Society for Structure and Multidisciplinary Optimization.

As the second finisher, he won the first prize of National Natural Science Award nominated by the Ministry of Education in 2003 and the first prize of Liaoning Natural Science Award in 2005 respectively. As one of the finishers, he won the second prize of Liaoning Science and Technology Progress in 2005. In 2004, he was selected into the Thousand Talents Program of Liaoning Province. In the same year, he was selected as the first batch of outstanding talents of the Ministry of Education in the new century. In 2005, he won the Liaoning Youth Science and Technology Award and was selected as one of the top ten scientific and technological talents in the second session of Liaoning Province. The research on singular optimal solution of structural topology optimization has been widely recognized and cited by peers. Invited to give invitation reports at international conferences many times. ε-relaxation algorithm is considered as a popular method, classic result and pioneering work to deal with the problem of singular optimal solution. Since it was put forward, it has been popularized by many authors in many different ways. As the second finisher (* * * third finisher), the relevant research results have passed the evaluation of the 2006 National Natural Science Award Evaluation Committee and have been announced to the public as the second prize project of natural science.
