Sun Yat-sen University, formerly known as Guangdong University, is a famous university with a fine tradition of running a school. 1924th century great man Dr. Sun Yat-sen personally founded this university, and personally wrote the school motto of "erudition, interrogation, deliberation, discernment and perseverance". 1926, in memory of Sun Yat-sen, a great contemporary man who died, Guangdong University was officially renamed Sun Yat-sen University.
