Nagoya University of Technology is one of Japan's famous national universities with engineering as the core. Formerly known as Nagoya Institute of Technology, it was founded in Meiji 38 and later renamed Nagoya Institute of Technology. Showa merged with Aichi Higher Institute of Technology in 24 years and changed its name to National Nagoya Institute of Technology. It was not until Heisei 16 that the national university was officially renamed Nagoya University of Technology, and it has a history of more than 100 years.
