Medical College of Yangzhou University is a secondary college of Yangzhou University. The predecessor of Medical College of Yangzhou University can be traced back to Subei Health School, which was founded in 1950. 1958 upgraded to Yangzhou medical college. 1984 was renamed Yangzhou Medical College with the approval of the former State Education Commission. 1992 merged into Yangzhou university medical college.
As of March 2023, the college has 4 departments, 1 independent research institute, 1 first-class discipline authorized by doctoral degree, 1 first-class discipline authorized by doctoral degree, 4 master's degrees, 2 postdoctoral mobile stations and 6 undergraduate majors.
There are 3,277 full-time undergraduates, 388 international students, 895 doctoral students, and faculty members 193, including full-time teachers 140. There are currently 193 faculty members in medical college, including full-time teachers 140, professors (29) and associate professors (44), and doctors 1 18, accounting for 84.3% of full-time teachers.
There are 76 full-time teachers under the age of 45, including 76 with doctoral degrees, accounting for 100%. Teachers with foreign academic qualifications 1 10, accounting for 82%. It has outstanding talents of the Ministry of Education in the new century, and a number of national/provincial high-level talents such as "Double Innovation Plan", "333 Project", "Blue Project", "Six Talent Peaks" and "Rejuvenating the Country through Science and Education Project" in distinguished professor, Jiangsu Province.
