Jiamusi University, located in Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province, is a provincial-level high-level university under key construction in Heilongjiang Province. It is also the supporting university of the "National Basic Capacity Building Project of 100 Midwest Universities (Phase II)" during the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period.
The school was founded in 1947 and approved by the former State Education Commission 1995. It is formed by the merger of Jiamusi Medical College, Jiamusi Institute of Technology, Jiamusi Teachers College and the former Jiamusi University (municipal). After 2000, Jiamusi Grain Workers Secondary Professional School, Fujin Normal School and Heilongjiang Industrial School merged one after another.
As of March 2022, the school has four campuses, covering an area of 1, 3 1, 000 square meters, with a construction area of 620,000 square meters and a total fixed assets of 1, 71.50 million yuan.
