East China Normal University (East China Normal University) is a national key construction university in the new period of reform, opening up and socialist modernization. It is located in Shanghai, and its history can be traced back to the private Daxia University and the private Guanghua University, which were founded in 1924 and 1925 respectively. They are both universities directly under the Ministry of Education of China. It is a national key university jointly established by the Ministry of Education, the Shanghai Municipal People's Government and the State Oceanic Administration, and ranks among the national "double first-class", "985 Project" and "21/project" universities. The school was selected into the national "20 1 1 plan", "1/plan" and "National Project of Building High-level Universities", and it is a member of the Yangtze River Delta University Cooperation Alliance, the BRICS University Alliance, the Asia-Pacific University Alliance and the China-Japan Humanities Exchange University Alliance.

1972 The school merged with Shanghai Normal University and Shanghai Institute of Physical Education and was renamed Shanghai Normal University. 1980 Restore the name of East China Normal University. 198 1 year1month, becoming the first batch of doctoral and master's degree awarding units in China. From 1997 to 1998, Shanghai Preschool Teachers College, Shanghai Institute of Education and Shanghai Second Institute of Education merged successively.
