19 17, Fudan public school changed to private Fudan university; 1937 After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, the school moved to Beibei, Chongqing, and 1942 was changed to "National" on New Year's Day; 1946 moved back to the original site of Jiangwan, Shanghai; Fudan University changed from 65438 to 0952, and became a comprehensive university focusing on arts and sciences. 1959 became a national key university.
In 2000, the former Fudan University and the former Shanghai Medical University merged into the new Fudan University. As of May 2007, the school covers an area of 2,449,900 square meters with a building area of 2,002,000 square meters.
