Tianjin University of Finance and Economics, located in Tianjin, is a key university in Tianjin and an important base for cultivating senior economic management talents in northern China. It is a multi-disciplinary university that focuses on economic management and the interdisciplinary and coordinated development of law, literature, science, engineering, teaching and art.

The school was founded in 1958, relying on the economics major of Nankai University. Formerly known as Hebei Institute of Finance and Economics, in June 1969, it was placed under the leadership of Tianjin and renamed Tianjin Institute of Finance and Economics. On May 7, 2004, it was renamed Tianjin University of Finance and Economics with the approval of the Ministry of Education.

The re-examination content includes three parts: professional comprehensive ability, foreign language listening and speaking ability, ideological and political quality and moral quality. Among them, professional comprehensive ability accounts for 80 points, and foreign language listening and speaking ability accounts for 20 points. Ideological and political quality and moral quality are not quantified and are not included in the total score, but those who fail in the examination will not be admitted.

The ideological and political quality and moral quality are assessed by full-time ideological and political educators in the interview process, and the "Tianjin University of Finance and Economics Postgraduate Re-examination Candidates' Political Examination Form" is checked from the aspects of political attitude, ideals and beliefs, social responsibility and legal concept, and whether the candidates are qualified or not is given on the spot.
