Comprehensive assessment: After the course study is basically finished, according to the training plan, the postgraduate students' ideological and political performance, basic theory, professional knowledge mastery and scientific research ability are comprehensively assessed. The comprehensive assessment of graduate students will be completed at the end of the third semester at the latest.
2. Thesis opening: Before the end of the third semester at the latest, through the argumentation of the thesis opening report, the thesis topic is determined and the thesis work plan is written. According to the actual situation of graduate students, determine the specific opening time, if the conditions are ripe, it can also be carried out before the end of the course.
3. Investigation of thesis work: Generally, the working time of master degree students is not less than one year. In the process of thesis writing, the tutor group should check the progress and completion of the thesis writing plan according to the opening situation of the master's thesis, and strengthen the guidance for the problems existing in the thesis writing to ensure the smooth progress of the master's thesis work. The work inspection of the thesis is completed three months before the author applies for defense, otherwise his defense application will not be accepted.
4. Academic activities: In order to broaden graduate students' academic horizons and promote their concern and understanding of the frontier development of physical geography, measures should be taken to encourage graduate students to participate in high-level scientific research projects, participate in international and domestic academic conferences in this discipline, and often hold high-level academic reports, frontier lectures and other academic activities for graduate students. Every graduate student is required to listen to academic reports at least 10 times and make academic reports in public at least 1 time.
5. Scientific research activities: In order to ensure the quality of awarding master's degree in physical geography, it is stipulated that master students can apply for master's degree only after they have achieved certain scientific research results during their school years. Graduate students should publish an academic paper (excluding supplements, special issues and collections) in published official academic journals related to geography at home and abroad. The author of the published article must be Shandong Normal University. If the tutor is the first author, the graduate student can be the second author of the article. Those who fail to meet the above requirements will not be awarded a master's degree.
6. Practical activities: Practical activities include teaching practice, scientific research practice, social practice and social investigation. The forms of teaching practice can be lectures, tutoring, experimental classes and other forms. Among them, the number of college students' hours is generally not less than 10 hours. Teaching practice is based on "passing". Scientific research practice can take the form of participating in scientific research project experiments, field surveys, social surveys, and participating in writing scientific research reports under the guidance of tutors. After the internship, the tutor will give relevant evaluation, and the corresponding credits can only be obtained after the evaluation is qualified. Part-time graduate students can get corresponding credits by taking postgraduate courses.
