Henan University of Technology, located in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, is a multidisciplinary university focusing on engineering, engineering, science, economics, management, literature, agriculture, medicine, law, art, etc. The school was founded in 1956, formerly known as Central Grain Cadre School and Zhengzhou Machine Building School.
Born in Beijing, the Central Grain Cadre School is the first grain college established in New China. 1960 moved to Zhengzhou, and was renamed Zhengzhou Grain College and Zhengzhou Engineering College successively, and was subordinate to the Ministry of National Grain, the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Domestic Trade successively. Zhengzhou Machine Building School, renamed as Zhengzhou Institute of Machinery and Zhengzhou Institute of Technology, belongs to the First Ministry of Machinery Industry, the Ministry of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and the Ministry of Machinery.
From 65438 to 0998, the two universities were placed under the management of Henan Province. In 2004, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the two universities merged to form Henan University of Technology. 20 10 The People's Government of Henan Province signed a contract with the State Grain Bureau (now the State Grain and Material Reserve Bureau) to build a university. 20 12 was selected as the "Basic Capacity Building Project of Universities in the Midwest" by the Ministry of Education, 202 1 was selected as the "Double First-class" university in Henan Province, and in 2022, it was selected as the "Priority Development of University Discipline" planned by the Ministry of Education.
Since its establishment, the school has always kept in mind the initial mission of "educating people for the party and the country", implemented the fundamental task of educating people with morality, adhered to the school motto of "being realistic and pioneering with morality" and the school philosophy of "people-oriented, establishing schools with quality and developing with characteristics", and adhered to the school orientation of "rooting in the Central Plains, based on the industry, serving the whole country and facing the world".
Carry forward the spirit of "advocating science, being brave in exploration, serving the country and constantly striving for self-improvement", constantly consolidate and strengthen the characteristics and advantages of running schools in the fields of grain, oil, food, abrasives and superhard materials, realize the improvement of the scale, level, connotation and quality of running schools, and successively send more than 240,000 outstanding graduates to the country. More than half of the management elites and technical backbones in the grain industry are from our school, which is known as the "Whampoa Military Academy" in China's grain industry.
