Are there any good books on high school physics competition, thermal optics and modern physics?
Usually, we divide the textbooks needed for physics competitions into four categories, hoping to help students:

The first category: common bridging teaching materials, from high school to the competition stage.

Among them, I recommend two books. The first book is Physics in Senior High School, written by Shen Keqi and published by China University of Science and Technology Press. The second book is A Reader of New Concept Physics, written by Zhao Kaihua and published by People's Education Press. These two books are characterized by starting from high school physics and starting from scratch. In other words, you only have junior high school physics level, or junior high school physics is still a little unclear, so it won't be too much problem to read these two books directly. These two books are the works of everyone. The simpler the book, the harder it is to write. There are matching questions, so you can go back and do them. The first one is more orthodox and biased towards the state in class. The second book, called Reader, is more popular, but the effect is similar. If you don't care about these few dollars, you can buy them all back. See which one is cool.

The second category: common competition textbooks refer to books with competition content and some exercises.

This is also the most important book we use. Mechanics and Electricity is the most classic textbook compiled by Teacher Cheng Jiafu and published by China University of Science and Technology Press. The only thing I want to remind you is that the difficulty of these two books has increased after they are reprinted. When you encounter a problem that you can't do, don't stutter, circle it out and ask someone or do it next year. The Course of Physics Competition for Senior High School was compiled by Zhang Datong and published by East China Normal University Press. This book has similar problems with the above books, that is, there are some particularly difficult problems that are also circled. And this book sometimes comes across a problem and gives eight different solutions. You only need to know two or three first, and then follow up slowly after you circle them.

The Course of Cultivating Excellent Students in Physics Competition in Senior High School was written by Mr. Shu Yousheng and published by Zhejiang University Press. Mr. Shu is an old hand on the field. This book is the same as above, skipping some particularly difficult questions. This book also has a set of exercise solutions, written by teacher Zhong Xiaoping, which can be used together. The guide to physics olympiad in new senior high school was written by Fan Xiaohui and published by Nanjing Normal University Press. This book is black, referred to as "black and white cover", and the white cover is a matching exercise book. These two books can be started together. This book is relatively simple. You can look at it when you think it is too difficult to brush the front.

The third category: common competition problem sets, that is, a problem is nailed together to explain, not particularly many.

So this kind of book is suitable for everyone to put in the second or third book. It will practice more seriously on the basis of your knowledge. The first book we want to introduce is "Higher and Better Physics" written by Chen Shen. There are many Russian topics in it, which are closer to Russian topics than those in domestic competitions. However, after you understand these problems, they are all related, and there is no problem. Even Han, a long time ago, just brushed this book and went to the examination room ... The effect was not bad. "Compendium of Physics Competition Topics" and "Random Talk on Solving Physics Competition Problems" were both written by Teacher Jiang Sixi. These two books are definitely the conscience of the industry. They are carefully written and each question is explained in detail. These two books are also suitable for you to brush them before you start. Among them, "topic selection" is divided according to knowledge points, and "method ramble" is divided according to methods. There is no duplication between these two books, so you can start with them.

The next book we are going to introduce is Physics Problem Set, which is absolutely a blockbuster. This book was originally 1000 pages thick, so it was very difficult to make. Now we split it into two books, and there is no change from the original. This book is very difficult. I suggest Baidu call it "Physical Puzzle Difficulty Grading Table", which is an excel table we wrote in our early years. It corresponds to how far you want to brush each question. The goal is different. You can buy this book for you first. You can kowtow three times in the morning and make incense three times in the morning and evening, and you will get better results if you have nothing to do. Another book was written by Mr. Shu Yousheng, called Selected Topics of Olympic Physics. This book is close to the competition topic, and there are some topics of university and postgraduate entrance examination in the previous bibliography. The book "Selected Topics of the Olympic Games" is a new topic that Mr. Shu Yousheng will create every winter and summer vacation, and these topics will continue to accumulate. Some students will give Mr. Shu some new topics, and he will turn them into a more reasonable state to share with you. This book is very close to the physics Olympics, which can be said to be a classic and should be regarded as a must for brushing questions. There is also a new version of the practical textbook of physics olympiad in senior high school, which is a white book. Just like the new version of the guide to physics olympiad in senior high school, it was written by teacher Fan Xiaohui and used together. This is a relatively simple book.

In the previous books, the most difficult is the collection of Olympic Games puzzles and multiple-choice questions, followed by sophisticated physics, multiple-choice questions and methods ramble, and the practical questions in high school physics are the simplest.

The fourth category: common university textbooks.

Let's talk about Shu Gao first. I suggest you use this book written by Jong Li and published by Peking University Press. This Shu Gao is divided into two volumes, and most students can only use the first volume. Teacher Jong Li, the old dean of the School of Mathematics, specially compiled this textbook for the students of the Department of Physics. You can take a closer look. The usage of the book Shu Gao is as follows. We should focus on concepts and simple operations, and we don't need to master particularly complicated operations. The particularly complicated concepts in this book have also been removed, so this book looks quite good. At least we need to master the limit and derivative of unit function, definite integral of unit function, indefinite integral (no need to master particularly complicated methods), Taylor expansion and simple differential equation (differential equation of separable variables). As for the more complicated things behind, we will look at them when we meet them. When we don't meet them, we will put the books here as reference books. New Concept Physics is a set of undergraduate textbooks written by teacher Zhao Kaihua. This book is regarded as general physics (generally referring to the freshman course). This book is also divided into mechanics, heat, optics, electricity and quantum physics. Quantum physics is not urgent, and the other four books can be started first. At the same time, there are problem sets that can be bought back to read. This set of books is the latest set of general physics books, which I recommend. This book has a rich vision. Similarly, reading this book is not to master its specific calculations, but mainly to master its concepts. Physics competition will not directly test undergraduate or higher content, but will drag these ideas out to test. So when you read this book, it doesn't matter how to do each question, because the exercises in this set of books are really simple, even simpler than the competition questions. It is important to understand the idea of doing this in the middle.
