Guangxi Art College is located in Nanning, the capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is one of seven comprehensive undergraduate art colleges in China. The school was established in 1938. Its predecessor was the "Training Course for Art Teachers of National Basic Schools in Guangxi Provincial Capital" initiated by famous Chinese musician Man, modern outstanding painter, art educator Xu Beihong and famous composer and music educator Wu Bochao in Guilin on 1938.
The Art College of Guangxi University was formerly the Art Teaching and Research Section of Guangxi University, which was established in June 1997. It has successively been affiliated to the Student Affairs Office, the Moral Education Office and the School of Public Administration of Guangxi University. In September 2006, the Art Department of the Department of Ideological and Political Theory was established. The Art Department of Guangxi University was established on September 1 day, 2007, and the Art College of Guangxi University was formally established on September1October 3 1 day, 2008. The Art College has more than 6,000 square meters of teaching buildings, and has good conditions for running a school.
