Tibet University is a comprehensive university affiliated to Xizang Autonomous Region. It is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Xizang Autonomous Region. It is a national "2 1 1 Project" key construction university, a world-class discipline construction university, a key support university for the basic capacity building project of central and western universities, a pilot university for the reform of the excellent doctoral education and training plan and the excellent agricultural and forestry talents education and training plan, and a national innovation and entrepreneurship training plan for college students.

1, faculty and staff

By April 2020, the school had a total of 1 153 staff, including 862 full-time teachers and other teachers. There are 346 full-time teachers and other teachers with senior titles, accounting for 40.1%;

There are 620 people with master's degree or above, accounting for 7 1.9%. Six people were selected into the "Hundred Million Talents Project" in Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, four people were selected into the "New Century Excellent Talents Support Plan" of the Ministry of Education, 1 people were selected into the "four batches" of talents in the national propaganda and cultural system, six people were experts enjoying the "special allowance of the State Council" and "special allowance of the autonomous region government", two were famous teachers at the autonomous region level, eight were academic and technical leaders in the autonomous region, and 1 people were national teachers' morality standards.

2. Teaching construction

By April 2020, the school had 1 national excellent courses, 1 national bilingual teaching demonstration courses, 3 national teaching teams, 4 national specialty construction sites, 1 national experimental teaching demonstration centers, 1 national off-campus practical education bases for college students and 20 excellent courses at autonomous regions.
