China University of Mining and Technology moved to Xuzhou for two main reasons. One is the adjustment of the national higher education layout, and there is a lack of a key university in southern Jiangsu; Second, Xuzhou in northern Jiangsu is an important coal base in China, which needs a large number of mining talents. In view of this, it is reasonable for China University of Mining and Technology to move to Xuzhou.
