School of Physical Education of Zhengzhou University is the only higher physical education institution in Henan Province, with a bachelor's degree and a deputy departmental level. The provincial sports bureau is in charge, and the business work is led by the provincial education department. It is one of the 15 undergraduate sports colleges recognized by the State Sports General Administration.

Over the past 50 years,12,000 sports talents have been trained, and more than 100 world and Olympic champions have been trained.

Information on expanding the teaching staff:

There are more than 300 full-time and part-time teachers and coaches, including 23 professors and national coaches, 86 associate professors and senior coaches, and nearly 20 well-known domestic scholars such as Zhang Liwei are invited as visiting professors.

Teaching construction:

The College has undertaken two provincial sports teams, namely, Henan Tai Ji Chuan Team and Henan Wushu Youth Team, and established nine research centers, including the Central Plains Wushu Culture Research Center.

The college covers a total area of 720 mu. Its headquarters is located at No.2 Yinhe Street, Huiji District, Zhengzhou City, covering an area of 408 mu. The Dengfeng campus covers an area of 3 12 mu.

In order to further accelerate the development of the college and expand the scale of running a school, in July, 2002, Zheng Da Institute of Physical Education was moved from No.3 Nongye Road, Zhengzhou City to the new campus in the south area of Henan Sports Center. The new campus covers an area of 408 mu with a building area of more than 200,000 square meters.

In addition, in 1997, the college invested and built a modern teaching and training base covering an area of 3 12 mu in Dengfeng, the hometown of martial arts.
