With the cordial care and support of the superior leaders and departments, the Conservatory of Music has achieved rapid development. At present, there are two first-level disciplines: music and dance, art theory, doctoral degree and postdoctoral mobile station, three first-level disciplines: art theory, music and dance, drama and film, and five undergraduate majors: musicology, music performance, composition and composition technology theory, dance choreography and drama performance. The college also has a national-level art experimental teaching demonstration center, a national-level talent training model innovation experimental area, and a national-level (Class B) major. Music and dance is a provincial key discipline for four consecutive years from the Eighth Five-Year Plan to the Twelfth Five-Year Plan, and music, dance and art theory are also the echelon of key disciplines of Heilongjiang provincial government. Musicology and music performance are key majors in provincial universities, and the college also has "Heilongjiang Province Key Discipline Group" and "Provincial Social Science Innovation Team".
