The School of Foreign Languages has six languages: English, Japanese, German, French, Russian and Latin, and undertakes the first and second foreign language teaching at all levels from junior college students to doctoral students. The Department of Foreign Languages also offers courses for English majors (including junior college students), Japanese majors, English masters and Japanese masters, and has the right to award bachelor's degrees in English, Japanese, foreign linguistics and applied linguistics, English language and literature, and Japanese language and literature.

1, Master of Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics.

Postgraduates are officially enrolled in this major from 65438 to 0997. His research interests include second language acquisition, ESP, English teaching methods, textbook research, pragmatics, sociolinguistics, cognitive linguistics, language testing, cross-cultural communication and modern foreign language education technology. Graduates are mainly engaged in English teaching and research in colleges and universities, foreign affairs in government enterprises and institutions, and economic and trade work.

2. Master of English Language and Literature:

In 2004, the major officially enrolled graduate students, whose research interests include foreign literature, foreign linguistics, translation theory and skills, and western literary theory.

3. Master of Japanese Language and Literature Program:

In 2004, the major officially enrolled graduate students, whose research interests include Japanese linguistics, Japanese literature, Japanese culture and folk customs.

4, English major (four-year undergraduate):

English majors have three major directions: foreign trade English, English language and literature and English education. This major focuses on imparting English knowledge and language application skills, strengthening the second foreign language ability, integrating economic, trade, management and management knowledge, and cultivating high-quality compound English professionals to meet the needs of social and economic development. Graduates have a solid basic knowledge of English, strong language and cultural communication skills, good economic and trade, scientific and technological quality and strong computer application ability, master certain scientific research methods, and can engage in translation, scientific research, teaching and management in foreign affairs, economy and trade, culture, press and publication, education, scientific research, tourism and other departments.

5. English (Business English) (upgraded version):

In order to meet the needs of China's entry into WTO, this major provides basic knowledge and skills training with English as the mainstay and business as the supplement for former college staff, so that they can meet the requirements of English and business undergraduate courses and engage in foreign affairs, economy and trade, culture, press and publication, education, scientific research and tourism.

6, Japanese major (four-year undergraduate):

Students in this major mainly study the basic theories and knowledge of Japanese language and literature, economy and trade, strengthen their second foreign language ability, receive good training in Japanese listening, speaking, reading, writing, translation and scientific research, master certain scientific research methods, lay a solid basic language skills for further study or engage in translation, scientific research, teaching, industry and commerce, and cultivate good quality and ability.
