Generally speaking, universities in Hong Kong can be divided into three grades, and each grade has slightly different requirements for GPA scores (this is a summary of experience, not absolute):
The first echelon: University of Hong Kong, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (with emphasis on undergraduate background, GPA 3.5+);
The second echelon: City University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Polytechnic University (focusing on practical background and documents, GPA3.2+ is relatively stable);
The third echelon: Hong Kong Baptist University, Lingnan University, and Hong Kong University of Education (GPA2.8+ suggests that you should report if you want, and you will have no choice if you don't report to Hong Kong).
