Anhui Medical University, a key university in Anhui Province, was selected as a basic capacity-building project for universities in the central and western regions, and became the first batch of pilot universities for the revitalization of higher education in Anhui Province, namely, "the construction of high-level universities with local characteristics" and "the cultivation of excellent doctoral education" by the Ministry of Education. 3. Wannan Medical College

Founded in 1958, it is located in Wuhu City, Anhui Province, formerly known as Wuhu Medical College, and merged into Anhui Medical College (now Anhui Medical University) in197/kloc-0 as its southern Anhui branch. 1974 the State Council approved the independent construction of hospitals. It is an ordinary university in Anhui Province.
