Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine was founded in 1958, formerly known as Tianjin College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. 1969 moved to Hebei new medical university; 1978 Tianjin College of Traditional Chinese Medicine resumed and rebuilt; 1992, add China International College of Chinese Medicine.

In 2006, it was renamed Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine; 20 17 was selected into the list of "world-class disciplines" to build universities; In 2020, it will become a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the people's governments of state administration of traditional chinese medicine and Tianjin.

School strength

There are 379 full-time undergraduates1/kloc-0, 3768 graduate students and 540 international students. There are 3,879 faculty members in the whole school (including affiliated hospitals), including 3 academicians of China Academy of Engineering (including part-time 1 person), 3 masters of Chinese medicine 1 person, 3 famous Chinese medicine practitioners and 1 teaching master 1 person.

It has a number of high-level talents, such as leading talents of the National Ten Thousand Talents Program, famous teachers of the National Ten Thousand Talents Program, distinguished professor of the Changjiang Scholar Award Program, winners of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, national model teachers, and famous teachers of Chinese medicine colleges. At present, there are 3 innovation teams of the Ministry of Education, 2 innovation teams of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Multidisciplinary Innovation Team of Traditional Chinese Medicine 1 team, and the Inheritance Innovation Team 1 team.
