Student accommodation will be implemented in an apartment system. Our school has 27 apartment buildings and 4 158 dormitories. Students have advanced accommodation conditions. The dormitory is equipped with basic daily necessities such as tables and chairs, and is equipped with a card phone. Dormitories can be connected to the campus network. Dormitories are mostly four rooms, but also six rooms and eight rooms, of which four rooms have bathrooms and washrooms. In 2007, the charging standards were: apartment fee 1 1,000 yuan/person-year (six rooms), apartment fee 1, 200 yuan/person-year (four rooms). In 2008, the specific charging standard of apartment fees is subject to the Notice of Admission Fees for Freshmen.

The catering system of our school consists of seven parts: the catering service center of the school logistics group, the food court, the catering service center of Jinqiao Business School, the catering service center of higher vocational and technical college, the catering service center of Liangyuan and the catering service center of Chinese language training center. The catering service center of the school logistics group strictly implements the Food Hygiene Law and various hygiene management systems. Since 2003, the national HACCP management system has been gradually improved and popularized, and managers have been set up to be responsible for food hygiene, tableware hygiene, environmental hygiene and tableware disinfection, which has achieved good results. It has been highly valued by Dalian health supervision department, and our management experience in tableware disinfection and food tool container identification has been extended to other universities and student meal processing plants. From 2004 to 2005, it was rated as an A-level unit of food hygiene management by Dalian Municipal Health Bureau for two consecutive years. Since 2002, the student canteen affiliated to the catering service center has been rated as the standardized canteen of colleges and universities in Liaoning Province. Wuweixuan restaurant has been renovated, spacious and bright, with elegant environment, and the plaques of flavor stalls in the restaurant have their own characteristics. Students can not only eat seafood from Dalian, but also taste delicious food from eight major cuisines and snacks from different regions, which fully embodies the unique campus food culture of Dongbei University of Finance and Economics. Chefs work hard on the quality of food, constantly adjust the diet structure according to the changes of seasons, and strive to achieve good color, flavor and shape. There are more than 50 kinds of staple foods every day, and there are countless cauldrons and stir-fried dishes, which are divided into high, middle and low grades to adapt to consumers at all levels. The quality of food is constantly improved, the variety of food is constantly updated, and the price of food is stable and reasonable. It has been well received by teachers and students.

CTC radio frequency card food and beverage charging system is adopted in the sales of each center. The system has strong security and stability, and the punching time is fast, which greatly shortens the dining time of students.
