According to official website, the Pocket College Entrance Examination, Shenzhen Medical University is neither 985 nor 2 1 1 university. In February 2008, Shenzhen University was approved by the Ministry of Education to offer clinical medicine, and in the same year, Shenzhen University Medical College was established, which was the first local medical college in Shenzhen. Academician Zhong Nanshan of China Academy of Engineering is honorary president of Medical College and a provincial key undergraduate university.
