Beijing Institute of Technology, a national key university directly under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, is located in Beijing, the capital, and has been selected into the national list of "2 1 1 Engineering" schools, the list of "985 Project" schools, the list of "double first-class" construction universities and the list of "double first-class" construction disciplines. By the end of 2022, Beijing Institute of Technology has three campuses: Zhongguancun Campus, Liangxiang Campus and Xishan Experimental Zone.

The locations of the three campuses are: the headquarters is located at No.5 Zhongguancun South Street, Haidian District, Beijing; Liangxiang Campus is Liangxiang East Road, Liangxiang Higher Education Park, Fangshan District, Beijing. Xishan Campus is located at Lengquan East Road 16, Haidian District, Beijing.
