Where is Cao Cao's hometown? Is it in Henan?
◆ Cao Cao and Hua Tuo are from Yongcheng, Henan.

Changes of modern administrative divisions. Both Cao Cao and Hua Tuo became experts in Henan. The latest research shows that Cao Cao and Hua Tuo's hometown are both in Henan. For a long time, history books have said that Cao Cao and Hua Tuo's hometown is "Guopeiqiao County", which is today's Bozhou, Anhui Province. However, at the just-concluded 12 annual meeting and international seminar of China Qin and Han History Research Association in yongcheng city, Henan Province, experts attending the meeting suggested that Cao Cao and Hua Tuo's hometown was originally under the jurisdiction of Qiao County (Bozhou, Anhui Province), but according to the current administrative division, their hometown has been included in Henan Province.

◆ Cao Cao's hometown is in Xinqiao Township, yongcheng city today.

There is an Anhui River on the north side of Xinqiao Township Government, south of Yongcheng/0/4km away from Kloc. Near today's Hui River, there was a pavilion called Feitingge in ancient times, so it was originally called Feitingji because there was a stone bridge on the river. In the 24th year of Guangxu reign in Qing Dynasty, a new brick bridge was built on the river, so it was gradually called Xinqiao Collection.

Zhu Jibiao, vice president and secretary general of yongcheng city Chinese Culture Research Association, told reporters that nowadays, the old people in Xinqiao still call their hometown "Fei Ji" or "Fei Qiao Ji". In the Eastern Han Dynasty, Cao Teng, Cao Cao's grandfather, was once given the title of Fei, which was his fief. In the Qing Dynasty, it was recorded in Yongcheng County Records and Historical Records: "Feiting Pavilion is located in Qiao Fei, south of the city. In the first year of Han Jian, Peiguo Cao Teng was the Hou State, and this city was its food city. "

Cao Cao once said in his famous article "Let Counties Know Their Stories": "So I returned to my hometown at four o'clock, built a 50-mile fine house in Qiaodong, wanted to study in autumn and winter, hunt in winter and spring, find underground places, and wanted to hide in mud. I didn't expect visitors to come and go, but I didn't get what I wanted." According to today's administrative division, Bozhou entered Yongcheng, Henan Province twenty or thirty miles to the east, so Cao's "Qiaodong Wuli" is the location of his hometown Feiting.

On August 18, the reporter came to the bank of Huihe River in Xinqiao Township, yongcheng city. Despite nearly 2000 years of ups and downs, the former site of Caocao Dianjiangtai in the east of the bridge is still clearly identifiable, and its rammed soil layer is obviously different from the natural soil layer next to it. Cao Changchun, vice president of yongcheng city Chinese Culture Research Association, said that on the west side of the bridge, there are two villages on the north and south banks, namely Qian Ying and Houying, which are said to be Cao Cao's former barracks.

◆ Huatuo's hometown is Huatuo Village, Longgang Township, yongcheng city.

According to the original records of the old county, Bo County, the hometown of the famous doctor Hua Tuo, is 45 miles northeast of the city. Today, I walked 23 kilometers northeast from Bozhou to Huatuo Village, Longgang Township, yongcheng city City, Henan Province, so this is Huatuo's hometown, originally belonging to Bozhou, Anhui Province. 1952.

There used to be a Huatuo Temple covering dozens of acres in Huatuo Village, but unfortunately it was demolished during the Cultural Revolution. On August 18, the reporter only saw a broken square brick in the village, and a house had been built on the former site of Huatuo Temple. However, the wild Datura stramonium in this village still grows well. This plant has analgesic and anesthetic effects, and it is said that it is the raw material for Huatuo to prepare Mafengsan. There are countless legends about Huatuo medical treatment in this village.

◆ Expert voice: The historical truth should be restored according to the changes in administrative areas.

Most experts attending the annual meeting of China Qin and Han History Research Association affirmed that Cao Cao and Hua Tuo's hometown are now in Henan.

Professor Zhu Shaohou, consultant and former vice president of China Qin and Han History Research Association, said that history is history and reality is reality. It was good that Cao Cao and Hua Tuo's hometown used to belong to Bozhou, Anhui Province, but since the administrative area has changed and now they are in Henan, we must respect the reality, so we can think that Cao Cao and Hua Tuo are from Henan in the future.

Xiong Tieji, a professor at the School of History and Culture of Central China Normal University and an expert in the history of Qin and Han Dynasties in China, also believes that it is normal to overturn the past conclusions due to regional division and the discovery of new evidence, and historical research continues to develop in this way.

What do Anhui experts think? Chen, deputy director of the Institute of History of Anhui Academy of Social Sciences, said that the view that "the hometown of Cao Cao and Hua Tuo now belongs to Henan" is novel, especially the view that "fifty miles east of Qiaocheng belongs to Henan" has certain value.

The historical evolution of Bozhou and its ancient jurisdiction

The reporter found that in ancient times, "Bo" belonged to Guyuzhou, and Qin settled in Qiao County. In the Western Han Dynasty, Qiao County was under the jurisdiction of Yuzhou Secretariat. In the Eastern Han Dynasty, Pei Jun was changed to Guo Pei. In the last years of Jian 'an, part of it was located in Qiaoxian County. In the fourth year of Northern Wei Dynasty (AD 507), it was changed to Bozhou in the first year of Northern Zhou Dynasty (AD 579).

Records of Bozhou published by Huangshan Bookstore 1993 recorded: "In the third year of Sui Daye (AD 607), Bozhou was changed to Qiaoxian, and Qiaoxian, Guyang, Chengfu, Shansang, Linhuan, Yongcheng and Zan were its subordinate counties" and "In the fourth year of Tang Wude".
