University of international business and economics (UIBE) is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) and one of the earliest institutions of higher learning in China to train talents in international trade, finance and economic law. The school was founded in 195 1, formerly known as the Department of International Trade and the Department of International Finance of China Renmin University. It is the first institution of higher learning established in New China to train international economic and trade talents.
The school has undergraduate, master and doctoral education levels, covering economics, management, law, literature, science, engineering and other disciplines. The school has first-class teachers and teaching facilities, and has trained a large number of outstanding talents in the fields of international economy and trade, finance and management, and is known as the "cradle of international economy and trade in China".
