What books are college students reading after class?

Application books are the first choice. "Now that the employment situation is so severe, it is most practical to take more certificates." Xiao Li, a social psychology major in the History Department of Zhangzhou Normal University, admits that he spends most of his spare time reading books related to textual research. In the interview, the author found that most students not only spent a lot of time after class, but also read books about textual research in professional classes in order to cope with all kinds of textual research.

Love stories are the favorite of some girls. Xiaolin, a radio and television major in the Chinese Department of Zhangzhou Normal University, told the author that what she read most after class was romance novels. "The atmosphere of romance in our dormitory is particularly strong. After turning off the lights, we will continue to' struggle' with the weak mobile phone light. " It is understood that there are many girls who like romance novels like Kobayashi, among which novels by Yi Shu and Qiong Yao are the most popular.

Professional books are the only choice for a few people. "As soon as I entered the university, I only read books on psychology, such as Love Psychology and Cognitive Psychology, and I felt particularly rewarding." Ru Chen, a psychology major at Zhangzhou Normal University, said. During the conversation, Xiao Chen said frankly: Reading books on psychology is not only because of personal interests, but also to be admitted to graduate students in this major.

Problems existing in extracurricular reading

In the investigation, the author found that there are four main problems in college students' extracurricular reading. First of all, pragmatism is becoming the main tendency of college students' extracurricular reading. "I haven't passed Band 4, and I don't have time to read extra-curricular books. After passing the level 4, I have to take the computer level 2! " Xiao Yang from the Department of Economics of Teachers College said. In the interview, most of the students said in succession: when all kinds of exams are coming, when they can only choose one because of conditions, they will choose books that are related to the content of the exam and can guide them to get good grades, and abandon books that they have always been interested in.

Secondly, entertainment and leisure go to the front desk. Speaking of romance novels, Kobayashi of the Chinese Department of Teachers College said: "In fact, romance novels seem to be the same thing, and sometimes you can guess the story behind them just by looking at the beginning. But sometimes it's too boring, and it's not bad to pass the time. " In the survey, many students who are keen on romance novels and martial arts novels admit that reading these books is purely for entertainment.

Third, some students don't like reading professional books. Xiao Chen, a psychology major at Zhangzhou Normal University, said that a small number of students basically don't read extracurricular books of their major in their spare time. Speaking of the reasons, Kobayashi, a radio and television major, expressed the feelings of most students who don't like reading professional books: "It's not that we don't like reading professional books, but that those professional books are really boring!"

In addition, there is less time for extracurricular reading. "It's embarrassing to say. Since I entered the university, I can count all the extracurricular books I read with my fingers: Biography of Puyi and imported marble. There are so many courses that I don't even have time to read professional extracurricular books, let alone other extracurricular books. " When it comes to his extracurricular reading, Xiao Can, a junior majoring in Japanese in the Department of Foreign Languages of Zhangzhou Normal University, looks helpless. According to Xiao Shi, due to the tight curriculum and various textual research, their Japanese majors basically have little time to read extracurricular books. In the investigation, the author found that: in addition to the heavy academic burden, some students are too keen on extracurricular activities and online games, taking up a lot of time.

Do you need guidance for extracurricular reading?

Faced with various problems in students' extracurricular reading, some teachers believe that college students' extracurricular reading needs to be corrected and guided urgently. "Standing in front of the podium and looking down, most students are reading English books or books like computers. Really, students' extracurricular reading is too blind. They either follow their interests or exams, and sometimes they don't consider their own knowledge structure at all. "Teacher Li from the Chinese Department of Teachers College said this. In the interview, the author found that many teachers think that college students are partial to food, casual and unreasonable in reading structure. Some managers believe that it is necessary to give students directional guidance in reading.

However, some students hold different opinions: "The so-called' carrots and vegetables have their own love', and we may not like what the teacher likes; And everyone's reading purpose is different, and the teacher can't guide us at all. " Xiao Zhang from the Chinese Department of Teachers College said that similar answers are not uncommon. It is understood that the vast majority of students think that extracurricular reading is a personalized activity, and college students have enough ability to make choices and judgments. Of course, quite a few students said they would not refuse the teacher's good advice.
